Melanoma cancer is also of among the most common forms of cancer that is observed to be occurring in several cases. There are four primary types of melanoma/skin cancers that include superficial spreading melanoma, nodular melanoma, lentigo maligna and acral lentiginous melanoma cancer. The superficial form of melanoma has been found to be the most common form of skin cancer that occurs in the United States. This form of cancer appears to be developing more among the women as well as the younger adults. In case of women, the most common place where this cancer leaves it sign is on their legs, while in case of men, it occurs between the neck and the pelvis region. During the early stage of superficial melanoma, the lesions appear like freckle and gradually start spreading throughout the skin area with itching effect. However, it must be noted that these are some of the main places where they mostly occur. It may also occur in other places of the human body.

The next form of the melanoma/skin cancer is the nodular melanoma that is really very aggressive in nature. This form of cancer appears to be common among the males who have exceeded the age of 60. The growth of this type of cancer is very rapid that penetrates the skin rather than spreading over it. This form of melanoma develops on its own and is not formed as a result of any existing mole. The signs of this cancer appear to be dark that can bleed or even become ulcerated. The third type of cancer includes the lentigo maligna that generally gets developed during middle age or beyond. The signs of the lentigo maligna appear on the face that is very difficult to detect the presence of cancer as it looks similar to a simple sun spot. The color of the sign is brown and is irregular and slow in appearance but gets darker with the increasing age. The fourth one is the acral lentiginous melanoma that exhibits the signs which appear on the palms, soles of feet, beneath finger nails, inside the mouth, etc.

The signs and appearances are really very tough to be detected as the symptoms of the cancer development. These signs make the people to ignore these signs thinking it to be just the simple sun spots. This is because they are not specific at times of cancer; they may also arise due to other simple and easily curable health problems. It has been, however, observed that all these melanoma cancer are serious and complicated forms that can put your life in danger. The melanoma/skin cancer is found to spread to the lymph nodes rapidly and then to the other internal organs. Due to its huge effect, this form of cancer is the major reason of the occurrence of many deaths as it has reaches such an extent that is incurable.

The treatment of Melanoma Skin Cancer depends on the stages. Basically it has four stages. In case such cancer is found the first stage to get a biopsy. If it is not spread it can be removed by way of surgery. In case it has spread over in lymph nodes it may require chemotherapy and intensive surgery. It is suggested to go for regular checkups and avoid staying in sun rays as it contains Ultra Violet Rays which is harmful. Hence detect cancer and take precautionary measure. In order to make your treatment successful in curing your disease, you must be careful in detecting the changes in your skin and consult the experts as soon as possible. This is because as early you detect the development of cancer, the more effective your treatment will be.
