Liver cancer is affects hepatic or liver activities and it is also known as Hepatocellular Cancer. This ultimately makes it one of the most serious and deadly form of cancer. However, according to the reports, it is believed that this disease is caused due to the damage of liver because of chronic exposure to certain drugs, alcohol or malnutrition that can also be referred as Liver Cirrhosis. The causes or the exact reason that contributes to the development of liver cancer is still not known. But according to the cases of this disease, it has been found that the persons who have hepatitis b or c often develop this form of cancer. In addition to this, it has also been reported that the individuals suffering from malnutrition or Liver Cirrhosis also experience the development of this form of cancer. The conditions, such as, obesity and diabetes also p[lay a very vital role in helping these cancerous disease to develop. However, as per the explanations provided about the cause of liver cancer, it has been said that the liver is the organ that is composed of various cells known as the hepatocytes. These cells combine to form 80 percent of liver and hence as soon as these tumors start developing in human body, the liver functions and activities get hugely affected that hampers the ability of the liver to act as a detoxification means for the human body. As a result of this hamper, the human body will be affected by different forms of poisonous things that are ingested in and out of the system. The liver cancer also throws a negative effect as far as the maintenance of body functions through metabolizing of energy is concerned. There are certain methods that can be used to detect the development of liver cancer in human body. The very first technique that can be used to find out the sign and symptom of this disease is through the use of a tumor marker that is also referred as alpha feto protein. This is present in the blood. However, the second method that can detect the presence of liver cancer may be enabled through the usage of X-rays. But this technique is only applicable when the disease reaches its latent period that is more dangerous and complicated. The third method can be the liver biopsies that are performed in order to find out whether the tissues that have been removed are malignant in nature that are they spreadable. In order to avoid the risk of liver cancer, one must live a healthy living and ignore anything that can be harmful for the proper functioning of the liver. However, it has been found that it is really difficult to detect the presence of liver cancer in a body at early stages. In fact, it has also been found that the prognosis for this cancer is also not helpful in identifying its symptoms. However, the most common symptom of liver cancer is the pain in abdomen that may last for a long time. The other signs of liver cancer also include nausea and weight loss that is caused due to frequent vomits and lack of eating desire among the patients. The most easily identifiable symptom of liver cancer is Jaundice that causes the eyes and skin to take a yellowish color and may also cause very dark urine. Therefore, the people are required to go for regular checkups in case of experiencing any of these symptoms. This is so suggested because the early detection as well as treatment of the disease is the only way to get out of this danger.
