Breast cancer is among the most commonly caused malignant diseases that start developing with the abnormal or uncontrollable growth of breast cells. According to the reports that have been obtained about the breast cancer, it has been found that at least one million women per year get diagnosed with this type of disease, among which approximately at least four hundred thousand die. This is the form of cancer that has the ability to spread throughout the body. However, there are various facts and myths that have been established about the breast cancer. According to one of these facts, every woman at some point of time in her life risks from the disease of breast cancer with different risk factors. In fact, there are certain minute things that are likely to cause breast cancer in women. One of the factors includes the period in your life when you gain weight. This period also affects the growth and evolution of breast cancer. According to the reports and surveys, it has been established as an important fact that after the period of menopause, a woman who is overweight is at greater risk from breast cancer when compared to a woman of average weight. Therefore, it becomes very essential for the women to maintain their health in order to avoid the risk of being affected by breast cancer. The next factor that affects the risk of breast cancer in women is having ovarian cysts. But in this case, the effect is negative that is the presence of ovarian cysts lowers your chances of being affected by breast cancer. It was believed earlier that the presence of the benign ovarian cysts would affect the risk of breast cancer in a positive way as it caused several hormonal imbalances in the body resulting in the irregular menstruation and infertility, but the researches proved this belief to be false and entirely opposite. According to the research, the next factor that increases the risk of getting breast cancer is the intake of the contraceptive pills. There are certain initial signs and symptoms that help the people a lot to detect the presence of breast cancer and reduce its chances to develop more. The doctors have suggested the people to get a mammogram to make the detection of the breast cancer easier by taking care of the changes that may appear as the symptoms of the breast. Now, here are some common symptoms of breast cancer. There are several important symptoms that appear in the breast that can help in easy detection of these diseases. Based on these changes that the person observes, the doctor asks certain questions in order to verify whether these are the initial signs of the disease or not. The initial symptoms of the breast cancer include the growth of lumps in your breast or under the armpits. There are very minute things that appear on the breast as the signs of breast cancer. Thus, the people are always suggested to take care of even the minutest changes in their breasts to detect it at early stage and get rid of it through the treatments available. The most common signs of breast cancer include swelling up of a particular area in the breast, or experiencing of some slight irritation in the skin or any discharge flowing from the nipples, Pain in nipples or in the overall breast area, etc. If any such symptoms appear to be present in case of the women, they are suggested to consult the doctors immediately.
