The fundamental purposes of research, especially epidemiology, is by identifying factors that promote cancer, to providing help to avoid them. The cost of cancer is very difficult for the company, any action to eliminate the causes of the occurrence of a type of cancer is a benefit, not only in lives but also in economic and social development. Making early diagnosis of cancer - is the purpose of testing - is a gain in life, because the cure rate is better when the disease is treated early in its evolution, but the treatment comes at a price a cost that is often prohibitive. Ninety percent of all types of cancer can be avoided if we adopt a lifestyle-collective and individual-eliminating the causes of these cancers.

Prevention by removing the cause:
Tobacco: Smoking (especially cigarettes) causes 95% of lung cancers - usually called lung-cancer (if not more, because the smoke has not yet been sufficiently studied). The bladder cancer is directly linked to tobacco, which is understandable because the tar in the smoke absorbed eliminated through urine and stagnate in the bladder. Cancer of the gallbladder, less frequently, is in the same length and for the same reasons for elimination (bile).

Smoking: the combination of tobacco and alcohol is the cause of almost all cancers of the esophagus and tracks head and neck (larynx, pharynx)

Maturity of sex: the use of oral contraceptives is an indirect cause of the emergence of more and more early cancers cervical since the disappearance of the fear of pregnancy has led to a greater maturity of the first reports, at an age where sexual mucosa have not yet reached the maturity and are therefore more vulnerable to attacks. It is possible that the emergence of AIDS has changed the nature of the problem in generalizing (perhaps) the use of condoms to guard several levels.

Ultraviolet radiation: the frequency of skin cancer (Black tumors of the skin or melanoma in particular) is growing steadily in relation to the general holidays in the sun and the kind of tan which replaced white-skin-distinguished from our great grand mothers.

Professional cancer: cancers due to asbestos are at the forefront of the news.

Environmental cancer: many bodies remain unidentified chemicals, and eliminate as far as possible in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and foods that are available to us. These potential cancers research and require constant vigilance, but the possibility is not a probability and this problem should in no way be a cause of psychosis.

Cancer due to power: colon cancers are, in some cases under the control of a genetic factor, but the diet high in fat and obesity are important risk factors. Cancers of the stomach is very common 100 years ago were largely dependent on the excessive consumption of salty foods or smoked.

More than half of cancer in male and one fifth in female can be prevented by eliminating causes of cancer. If cancer has already been initiated by a hereditary factor, it is necessary to eliminate, wherever possible, the factors considered promotional. For example, if there is a familial risk of breast cancer (cancer in the mother-or sister before age 50) must avoid undesired hormonal imbalance, therefore making any non-hormone controlled by a specialist.

There are currently only three cancers where hereditary effects are almost certain: cancer of the retina, kidney cancer in children and medullary thyroid cancer. Some minor illnesses should lead to a policy of vigilance, as is the case for polyps (benign tumors) of colon. In 5% of breast cancer there seems to be a modification of the gene and currently a campaign to identify those at-risk individuals is being developed.

As we just mentioned, prevention is simple and inexpensive as its only cost is to streamline and tune psychic level of the individual.
