Patients & families do often seen reacting panicky when they discover the news of brain tumor exist in their body. The symptoms of brain tumors are common and they start to show odd behavior that get amplifies as the day passes. After seeing such problems in patients doctors do recommend had scan and MRI and consultation with a neurosurgeon is a common practice. MRI & CT scan analysis after careful examination by neurosurgeon often confirms the existence of tumor. For more particulars on the form and type of tumor, doctors often advice patients to go for biopsy. The Biopsy report often takes two to three days before it can be made available to the patient and their family. Biopsy is generally considered as a final step of all cancer diagnosis. The biopsy finally confirms that the tumor is cancerous or not and what measures shall be taken by the doctors for further treatment.

Sometimes the symptoms of brain tumors which is cancerous are so vivid that it becomes difficult for doctors and family to judge whether the problem is psychological or physical. Patient's behaviors sometimes are shocking, more often then not patients seem to lose her head completely, they get totally disoriented. Sometimes whatever they speak is all nonsense and it is not at all independent. This type of behaviors and changes in the patients must be monitored constantly. Patients generally do not recognize, but neurologists have confirmed that a tumor actually plays a functional part in the brain, but in case of cancerous problems it becomes too compressed to function normally. Patients are prescribed medication to relieve the brain in order to resume its normal work. But brain tumors are often malignant and patient's conditions deteriorate as the day passes.

It is also surprising that though bran tumor takes years and decades to grow and become malignant but people begins to experience the symptoms as if some thing sudden has happened. Actually all cancer development in human body is very gradual. Patients are often seen complaining and saying' everything was ok till last week, suddenly I started to feel pains, starting to get aphasia' etc. Strange but true, cancer has difference faces to show form patients to patients. This is the reason why the work of doctors becomes more challenging in the treatment of cancer. Patients come with the complaints like problems of speech and end up knowing that it was actually a tumor in the brain affecting the speech organs.

Brain tumors are often associated with operative treatments that to the more traditional ways of treatment like chemotherapy and radiography. Some tumors are even inoperable type of malignant cancers; some of the most violent form of this disease is accompanied with risk of stroke or risk of losing speech or memory. Within months of first diagnosis half the tumor can increase from 2 to 7cm making it an obligation to operate and remove the tumor. Surgeons often try to avoid any operative treatment in problems related to brain. They will always like to see the possibility of treatment first by chemotherapy and radiation. But generally a reverse happens in case of severe cases of brain tumors, after surgery chemotherapy and radiotherapy is used to reduce the risks of cancer spreading. Patients have been seen to become dependent on chemotherapy for prolonged periods after cancer operatives. There are cases where a child has been operated for brain tumors. Since that age (I have seen cases where 11 years boy was operated) the child have to continuously be dependent on report of MRI regularly every month. Family of patients who has prolonged cases of brain tumor really gets tough after this experience.
